    gap year projects & programmes

You will mostly be involved on project work unless you are away on safari.  It will be good to look back and see what you have done for the community when your duration ends and this will be determined by your commitment to our projects.

We have 5 days of project work in a week.  Transport will be available to Diani to do shopping or to relax on the beach in Diani Beach during your off day.  We have income generating  projects like recycling the coconut shells and putting gifts to sell to the tourists that they give as tokens to the kids(the money goes to the Kenya Kesho Trust) helps in funding the projects we undertake.

School maintenance programs (building and desk making) and also painting classrooms and we hope that someone among us will be talented enough to paint the alphabet on the walls.
Teaching lessons like English, music, drama, sports etc

We are also involved in tree conservation which involves planting of trees and making a tree nursery in each school.
